AI for good.

AI seems to be the villain of almost every story that it features in. Wether it's HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey, or Facebook's algorithm being so predictive many are convinced Facebook is listening to their private conversations through their microphone, AI gets a bad rap from the general public.

Which is a shame, because it doesn't have to be this way. To see if AI could be a force for good, I decided to teach myself how to actually create things with AI. So I got access to OpenAI's GPT-3: a tool that can generate natural sounding language, to see if I could create something that might actually help people.

So after a few attempts, including gabland, and later gabland: pandemic edition, a site that generates ad agency slogans, I landed on Keep Your Chin Up or KYCU. A system that generates networking emails from advertising graduates and creative teams to Creative Directors, in five unique tones of voice. So with over a thousand emails generated so far, as a creative director you may have read an email from some advertising hopefuls that was actually written by Keep Your Chin Up
